About

Sherine Tajera was born in Lynn Mass, surrounded by family and loved ones. At the young age of 5 she moved to Springfield MA where her passion for dance was birthed. Coming from a seventh day adventist background, her family was then invited to a pentecostal service on a Sunday morning and the rest was history. Upon giving her life to Christ at the age of 10, by the age of 12 Sherine joined the praise dance team at her local church. Sherine’s dance leaders and peers pushed her to be the best she could be. Her church family at the time gave her wisdom concerning her gift which helped mold her. Years later, Sherine was given the opportunity to become the leader of a dance ministry. At the age of 20 Sherine became one of the youngest leaders at her local assembly. While leading, she traveled all over to dance, teach and expose all who were in her reach to the importance of praise dance.

 

When Sherine first started leading her dance group, God gave her specific instructions to educate the ones she was leading on worshiping God beyond the four walls of a church. She also wanted to create safe places for dancers to come together and worship freely. As she developed her reach became beyond her dance group. God began to give her influence to her local area and many more people. Sherine then got into prayer to ask God how exactly she could be a help for dancers in need. When God gave her an answer, she had no idea that it would take her to the next level. 

 

Sherine hosted her first ever event in 2020, which was a praise dance workshop. Consisted of panel discussion, teaching on movement, stretching preparation and much more.  In 2020, Sherine hosted “iWorshipThroughDance '' which was at the time just supposed to be an event for dancers to gather and worship. No choreography, no program. Just worship and intercession. During her gathering God moved in a mighty way. Many dancers left changed and their passion for dance was ignited again.In 2021, she hosted her first conference “Why The Call Matters/Soul Of A Dancer”. Due to the pandemic this conference took place via online platforms. However, the conference was able to stretch Sherine in a different capacity. The conference purpose was to remind dancers the importance of their call to ministry through movement. She also expressed the importance of taking care of your soul as a minister. It was this conference where God revealed to Sherine herself that she is called to do more than dance. She also called to preach, teach and prophesy as God speaks. 

 

In 2023, Sherine has now officially launched her own dance ministry where her goal is to strengthen and educate dancers world wide. iWorshipThroughDance has many entities that will be able to strengthen you as a leader or dance member.
